See My Latest Quilts!

My Lockdown Treasure Quilt
At last, I have found time to finish my 'Treasure Quilt'! Made with some of my favourite fabrics. Hand appliqued and machine quilted to within an inch of it
s life!

2020 'Sky Writer'
Flying high for little Louis. Here is a Christening quilt I was asked to make. (Inspired by the Sew a Row quilt below).

2019 Pink Diamond
Two years in the making on and off.

2019 Ballycastle Twist
First quilt of the year on the sofa already! Made from Christopher Wilson-Tate's lovely Regency Ballycastle 18th Century Chintz fabrics.

2018 Sew A Row
I made this little quilt alongside one I made with Connecting Threads Group as part of their Sew A Row Exchange Challenge. The group quilts (which we donated to Project Linus) were all multi-coloured and so different. I replicated all my rows for this one in my own choice of fabrics.

2018 SPRING HALO
Around 50 hours quilting (and countless hours piecing) my adaptation of Sue Garman's Halo Quilt:

2017
My dear friend's little boy, Christopher, wanted a rainbow quilt:

I call this my 'Four in One' Quilt
Four design ideas I wanted to try out combined in to one cosy lap quilt. It is double sided, front and back quilted separately then hand sewn together from the inside out. Read my blog for the full story. (Oct 2016)

Here are my 2 latest quilts.

This one is called 'Pretty in Pink - Hunter's Star'
It has been on my 'Must Make' list for at least six years and I've finally got around to it after gathering and petting the fabrics for so long. I am so pleased with the end result and especially the quilting, which was all hand-guided using curved rulers and freehand technique and took more than 45 hours.

And this one is my version of Edyta Sitar's (of Laundry Basket Quilts) wonderful 'Spools Quilt' and I just had to make it! It is a true scrap quilt (apart from the background of course) and no fat quarters were harmed in the making. The quilting was relaxed and flowing and was so much fun. I used Soft and Bright polyester wadding for a lighter loftier effect.
